The free check
The free check runs in your browser. It sends the VIN straight to NHTSA, the U.S. safety agency, to get the car's details and recalls. We don't store the VIN. A VIN describes a car, not a person.
Visit counts
We count visits with our own tool, with no cookies and no IP address. For each visit we keep: the page, the time, the kind of device, the screen size, the site that sent you, which buttons you tap, the car's make when you run a check, and how many recalls came back. Never the VIN.
Our host (Google Cloud) keeps standard server logs for security.
When you text us
When you text or WhatsApp us, we get your phone number and what you send. We use it only to run your check, send your payment link and your report, and answer you. We don't sell it or share it, except with the companies that carry the messages, take the payment (Stripe) and supply the title report. Text STOP anytime and we stop. Ask us to delete your messages and we will.
